Introducing Caterina Lucchi leather accessories!  Who is Caterina Lucchi?  She just happens to be Marco Campomaggi's wife.  That's right, a husband and wife leatherworking team, each with their own company making handmade leather goods in Italy.
 
The big difference between their designs is that whereas many Campomaggis are often unisex,  favoring rugged utility over design, Caterina Lucchi designs all of her bags, wallets and accessories with much more of a feminine flair.  The designs are funkier and the color palette is broader.   
 
This particular bag is big enough to be a day bag or even a shopper for a quickie trip to the weekend farmer's market.   It features a combination of butter-soft leather on the front, bottom and trim with cotton canvas on the back, in a two-tone Cognac + Taupe color combination.   Even better, the front leatherwork is a beautiful Intrecciata weave, and the whole bag has been slightly distressed so it looks like it has already done some traveling on its own.  The great thing about buying distressed leather is that you don't have to worry about babying it, or keeping it perfectly clean or out of the elements - it is already well past the point of being babied.   
 
It features a removable cognac leather over-arm top handle with an adjustable  and removable taupe crossbody handle.   While the front is decorated with the Intrecciata weave, the back has a nice zippered pocket big enough for a cell phone.  The top zipper opens to reveal a large cotton-lined interior with yet another zippered pocket, plus two large slip pockets.
 
You can see Caterina's name stitched on the top panel near the zipper - a really cute touch.
 
The bag measures approximately 16" x 13" and we included photos with a ruler for visual size perspective.
