Just in, brand new and retail-fresh, straight from Bellarri's vault, a rare "Dutchess" large-size pendant, in solid 18K Yellow Gold!
Bellarri made "Dutchess" pendants in a variety of sizes, but there's only one size larger than this one, and it's very rare, very limited, and they cost around the same as a new kitchen remodel. If that level of expense is not in the cards, this G978/M is plenty big enough for most collectors, and would be a collection centerpiece for most Bellarri fans.
It measures 2" tall x 1.05" wide and weighs 15.5 grams, almost half an ounce.
It features 8.75 carats of semi-precious colored gemstones in a variety of sizes, cuts and shapes, from baguettes to cabochons to scalloped-crown Mystique cuts. You'll see Green Tourmaline, Peridot, Citrine, Amethyst, Blue Topaz, Rhodolite, Red Garnet, and even some Iolite. The center Amethyst in the top setting is .65ctw by itself, and the entire piece boasts a full .53ctw - more than half a carat - of white diamonds. It's a work of art in every way, and even the rear filigree will have you staring at the piece in wonder.
Because of the incredible rise in the price of gold - from around $1100-1200 when this piece was first created to the current price of over $4500 per ounce - plus the rise in the cost of labor and gemstone mining, this piece absolutely falls into the "she can't make them like this anymore" category.
