This huge beauty starts with a VERY heavy and substantial 18K White Gold band and setting, fully hallmarked with the requisite "750" purity mark, with a total ring weight of 29.7 grams. It's by far the heaviest ring we've ever listed, in almost 2 decades of selling jewelry. We've sold plenty of Bellarri bracelets that don't even weigh 29.7 grams.
The top setting measures approximately 1.8" / 45mm in diameter, with a rise of almost .65" / 15mm up off the finger. We included photos of the ring along with both a 25 cent Washington quarter coin, and a dime coin, and you can see how big the setting is in relation to both. It's easily the largest ring setting we've ever sold.
The setting itself features a 12.5mm Mabe Pearl surrounded by a gorgeous complement of Brown & White Diamonds. There are sixteen (16) arms to the large star setting and eight (8) of them are covered with Diamonds. The setting holds a total of 1.20ct of round cut White Diamonds, and an additional 1.20ct of round cut Brown Diamonds. We do not yet have the color or clarity specs, but will get them asap.
All in, you have a ring with 2.40ct of Diamonds, plus a Mabe Pearl, set in almost an ounce of 18K White Gold with a setting that is simply breathtaking.
Our dealer partner had this in their showcase with a tag price of $4495, but priced when gold was much lower than current spot price. Still, we love deals, so we're going to price this at $3795, a full $700 less than the tag price. How good a deal is that? The gold in the setting alone is worth more than $3000, just for the melt value of the gold.
The band is a size 6.5 as measured on our own ring mandrel, maybe a hair larger but not quite a 6.75.
The ring is in beautiful condition as you can see by our photos, and it comes from a non-smoking home free of staining or residue.
