Back in on consignment, a gorgeous one-owner Bellarri "Romantica" ring, from a non-smoking home, in fantastic pre-owned condition.  We were the original sellers of this beauty, and we're glad to see it back on consignment - we just cannot find many of these old legacy designs with heavy shanks and conversation-piece settings and we'll take all that we can get our hands on.
 
From Bellarri's long-running and fan-favorite "Romantica" collection, this little work of art must be seen in person to be truly appreciated - no photos we can take will do it justice. There are just too many interesting curves, shapes, cuts and details for any camera lens to capture adequately.
 
First, it's a substantial ring, weighing a full 14.8 grams, almost half an ounce. Yet it's not overbearing and could even be worn by gals with smaller fingers as the top setting measures .65" x .8", with a rise of .35" up off the finger.
 
It starts with solid 18K yellow gold and features 4.11 carats of natural, untreated and unheated amethyst around the outside of the setting. The side amethysts are faceted cylindrical cuts and the corners are rounded edge faceted trillions. Extending across the center of the ring is a bridge of more natural gemstones - blue topaz, amethyst, rhodolite, citrine and peridot - with more peridot decorating the sides of the shank. These additional gemstones total 4.00 carats.  Finally, almost a quarter carat of white diamonds - 24 points - decorates the settings between the amethysts and the sides of the gemstone bridge.  This ring retailed for almost $6K back when gold was only $1100 per ounce - if Bellarri were willing to make it today, it would retail for twice that.   
 
This ring was never sized, so it's still a standard Bellarri 7.  Because of the thickness of the shank, and complexity of the setting, sizing is limited but let us know what you need and we can inquire with Bellarri.  We most likely will hold out for a buyer that can wear size 7, to avoid risk of damage by trying to size such a thick shank with side baguettes, but we're happy to inquire with Bellarri and check for inquiring buyers.
