Just in on consignment and originally sold by AFW, a one-owner ring from a non-smoking home that comes back to us looking fantastic.
This design from her "Tuscany" Collection is now discontinued and retired, and no longer available from Bellarri even by custom order. It became one of Bellarri's most iconic designs because it features one of their most courageous gemstone cuts.
The ring starts with a big 18K Rose Gold setting with a 10.95 carat natural amethyst, and what makes it so courageous is that it's a completely organic, asymmetrical cut where no two facets or vertices are alike. It's like looking at a big piece of organic amethyst only it's perfectly clear and superbly laser cut. It really is a conversation piece from every angle, and it took a lot of vision and courage to take this cut from a drawing on paper to being able to replicate it with perfect precision time after time on a laser gemstone cutter. Because Bellarri owns her own laser cutters and doesn't need to outsource she could actually attempt creative designs like this - most designers either won't or can't try this.
Complementing the big amethyst are 19 points / .19ct of genuine white diamonds around the entire setting. The top setting measures .8" x .6" with a rise of .5" up off the finger. It weighs 9.7 grams.
The ring has never been altered and is still a standard Bellarri 7. Because of the design, we're going to avoid sizing, so size 7 buyers only please. If you're smaller than a 7, we can accommodate with a courtesy ring noodle that will make the ring wearable without alteration, just let us know what size you are.
The ring is not new or flawless and does show hairline marks on the gold just from normal, non-abusive use. After all, 18K purity gold is a relatively soft metal. As you can see by our photos the ring looks superb, but it's not flawless. The great news is that the big Amethyst is free of chips or damage - that part of the ring, the most important part, has been well preserved.
