We found this in our partner dealer's showcase with a tag price of $1695, as show in our photos, but we're offering it for just over half that amount.
It's an old vintage piece, though no telling what the age is. It's solid 18K Yellow Gold, and fully hallmarked...but in Arabic. We've also tested the gold to confirm 18K purity, but the hallmarks are hand-etched inside the shank in Arabic and clearly denote 18K gold. There's plenty of surface wear on the gold, nothing bad, but you can tell this ring has traveled the world a few times. Likewise, there's plenty of wear on the diamonds, but they also look great at normal viewing distance.
The ring features 17 Rosecut White Diamonds totaling .50ctw, a full half carat. The Rose cut is one of the oldest in gemstone cutting, having been invented 600+ years ago. It's not often done anymore, though Rose Cuts are making a bit of a comeback with some designers. Please note that because of the way Rose Cut facets reflect light, it might appear in some photos that there's a diamond or two missing - rest assured that is not the case. All of the diamonds are in place, it's just an optical illusion.
It's a very heavy, substantial ring with a thick setting - very reminiscent of Bellarri's older "Romantica" designs. It weighs a full 9.8 grams, almost a third of an ounce. Gold melt value alone at current gold prices is over $785 just for the gold, so our buy price is a very small premium over intrinsic value. You're basically paying for the gold, and getting the diamonds and history for free.
The top setting measures .5" wide (finger direction) x .9" side to side, with a rise of .25" up off the finger. The band is a size 6.75 as measured on our own ring sizing mandrel.
